Penny sends a call event to Zapier. Your filtered Zap finds or creates the QuickBooks Online customer.
When it happens
The Zap runs after call processing and any filter or review step in your workflow.

This page covers QuickBooks Online through Zapier. Capturing an inquiry does not establish a sale, create an approved invoice, or collect payment. Your accounting team controls those actions. Do not treat a service address as a billing address without confirmation.

Set up the connection

  1. 1

Define when an inquiry becomes a customer

Have the office or bookkeeper choose the trigger and any review step. Avoid adding every caller to the accounting customer list merely because Penny answered.

  2. 2

    Connect the accounts in Zapier

Connect Penny and the correct QuickBooks Online company. Confirm that the Zapier plan and connected account permit the actions you want to use.

  3. 3

Set the customer match and mapping

Choose the supported customer search or create action. Map supplied contact details and decide how to handle missing information or an existing customer with the same name.

  4. 4

Review a test with the bookkeeper

Run a sample through the filter and action. Inspect the customer in QuickBooks Online before turning on the Zap.
