The fields your office receives
| Source field | Destination |
|---|---|
| Your Calendly event-type URL | The scheduling link shared with the visitor |
| Name, email, and answers entered by the invitee | Calendly’s booking form and event |
| Captured Penny inquiry, if using Zapier | The follow-up fields you map in your Zap |
- Direction
- Penny directs the visitor to your Calendly page. The invitee submits the booking to Calendly. An optional Zapier workflow handles the follow-up you configure.
- When it happens
- Penny can share the link during chat. The appointment is created when the invitee finishes booking in Calendly. A Penny-triggered Zap starts after call processing.
This route uses a scheduling link or Zapier, rather than a native Penny-to-Calendly booking connection. Sharing a link does not reserve a time. Sending links by SMS requires Penny’s Pro text features; Calendly and Zapier account requirements also apply.
Set up the connection
- 1
Choose one Calendly event type
Copy the scheduling link for the appointment visitors should book. Check the event’s duration, availability, location, and invitee questions in Calendly.
- 2
Give Penny the approved link
Add the URL to your business instructions or website answers and say when it should be offered in chat. Test the URL in a browser where you are not signed in to Calendly.
- 3
Configure a follow-up Zap if needed
If callers need the link after a call, use a Penny trigger in Zapier and a supported sending action in your connected app. Map only supplied contact details and include the correct scheduling URL.
- 4
Complete a booking as the visitor
Ask Penny for the link, open it, and finish a test booking in Calendly. Check the confirmation and the calendar event, then remove the test appointment.
